Located on the eastern part of the island, Georgetown is known for its importance as the first harbour to be built on the Eastern Seaboard. It’s the site of a popular summer road race, which offers a nice tour of this historic town. We’ve mapped the course of the 5k loop. Start at the Georgetown War Memorial/Kings Playhouse. Take a quick jaunt on Victoria St. to Water St., and then run along Water St. for just short of 1 km. Then connect with the Confederation Trail at Les Trois Rivières historical landmark and run through the lovely, open section through a park and along a beach. Turn RIGHT on Kayes Rd., and then LEFT on E. Royalty Rd. Turn RIGHT on Kent St. for the final km.
Add-On: Continue along Confederation Trail.
