There’s something for every runner at Potato Creek State Park, a 3,800-acre park located 15 miles south of South Bend. It’s a popular spot for hiking, biking, birding, and water-based activities on the 327-acre Lake Worster. There’s also a nice variety of terrain, including woods, fields, wetlands, and restored prairie.
For running, there are 20+ miles of trails, ranging from easier to rugged. This trail map is is a helpful guide. The best easier run is the 3.3 mile bicycle trail. This link has more detailed trail descriptions.
