Tower Grove Park is a scenic, historic park in the southwestern part of St. Louis. The 300-acre park is adjacent to the Missouri Botanical Gardens. The area features seven miles of trails and 7,000 trees. There are other features, including 11 Victorian era pavilions, & recreational facilities. There are a couple of options for running here (Note: running not permitted in the Botanical Gardens).
Park Only. Create your own route among the seven miles of trails. It’s ~1.6 miles east-west (between Grand & Kingshighway Blvd.) and ~0.5 miles north-south within Tower Grove Park.
Park & Neighborhood: There’s a cool neighborhood centered on 39th St., which leads to Tower Grove Park. This short four mile loop starts just outside the park, along the northern edge and covers the exterior edges and the eastern half of the park, running by the Botanical Gardens, looping back through 39th.
Add-Ons: Forest Park is 1.5 miles north. Use Tower Grove Ave. Can also enjoy a walk in the Botanical Gardens (see hours & admission fee).
