This 511 meter hill to the west of Stuttgart is known locally as “Rubble Mountain” for its summit that is covered with wreckage of buildings destroyed during the air raids of WWII. A spiraling paved incline leads to the top of the hill, where runners will be rewarded with incredible views of the city for their hill work. From Lindpaintnerstraße to the top of the hill and back is about 5 km, but there are lots more trails between Birkenkopf and Metzgerbach where runners can extend their route.
