Vineyard Run: Schimmelhüttenweg

The idyllic Schimmelhüttenweg path is a 2.2 km stone paved way through the Degerlocher Scharrenberg vineyard, with rolling hills and lovely views looking out on the city from the historic site of the Weissenburg castle. From the Degerloch U-Bahn station, it’s a 7-minute walk to the start of the path (follow the Woodpecker Trail or the Josefstraube north to Elsaweg). At Aussichtspunkt Leonorenstraße,  Schimmelhüttenweg starts and heads to the north for 2.5 km to Liststraube/Marienplatz square. This is a nice 5 km out and back, with easy connections to routes in the area of Fernsehturm Stuttgart.
