An upscale neighborhood just across a small bridge from downtown. High-end homes, marina views, and miles of trails. Good water views and lots of green space. A full tour of the island is about 7 miles, with many options to vary.
Birmingham’s canals form quick and efficient running routes with miles of paved “towpaths” paralleling the water. The crown jewel of these is a 5 mile route starting at the “Mailbox.”
Following the Greenway along the Santa Fe River, the path is currently 5.6 paved but noncontiguous miles. Eventually, it will include 15 miles of paved continuous greenway comprised of parks and trails along the Santa Fe River.
A favorite among road runners. Paved road runs gradually uphill through open, scrub-like terrain, with some nice views. Good option for a longer training run. We recommend starting at Amelia White Park.
Bangkok's "Central Park" is one of the most popular running spots in the city. A 2.5 km track with distance markers. There are lovely gardens and decent shade. Video Highlights! Combine with Benjakitti Park for a longer run.
Located in a busy neighborhood right next to the Convention Center, this is another popular place in Bangkok for running. There's a ~2 km paved running path around an artificial lake at the park's center. Combine with Lumphini Park for a longer run.
The National Garden grounds of the Imperial Palace are among the running highlights of Kyoto. Important sites and lovely paths around extensive gardens. 1.3 km from north-south and 0.7 km east-west.
The 100+ km of paved multi-use paths along both sides of the Han River (Han-Gang) are among most popular running spots in Seoul. A wonderful greenbelt, with various loop options involving the bridges and great river views. The paths run below the bridges.
