Ibiza Waterfront Promenades

There are some very scenic roads, paths, and promenades along the the waterfront in the town of Ibiza and nearby, featuring great views of the water and nearby islands. A popular route is the ~5 km from the Torre de vigilància, around the Marina Ibiza and Marina Botafoch to the Faro de Botafoch (lighthouse). A longer option is to add the ~ 1 km path along Talamanca Beach. Just south (but not directly connected to the above paths), the Passeig ses Pitiüses runs for 1 km to Figueretes Beach.  [Carrer=Street, Playa=Beach]

Ibiza Path. Start at the Torre, and run along the wide promenade of Carrer Andenes. Stay along the waterside path (this area is a bit less scenic), turning RIGHT to follow a path paralleling Passeig Joan Carles I, in the so-called Marina neighborhood of Ibiza. This is a nice section. At the 2.6 km mark, at a small rotary, the route continues for a loop around Illa Grossa/Botafoch. Follow Carrer d’Ibosim down to the Lighthouse, with an optional 1 km out and back down Carrer s’Illa Grossa to a point. Loop back around the eastern side of the island, along Carrer de la Mola, then back to the rotary and retrace your steps to the start.

Talamanca Beach Path:  2.2 km out and back along a wood/cobblestone boardwalk can be standalone route or added to the Ibiza path. From Carrer de la Mola at the Hotel Argos, turn onto Carrer de Talamanca, and follow to the end at the Simba Hotel.

Figueretes Path/Path South. Just 600m south of the Ibiza town walls, use C. de Ramon Muntaner to get to the Passeig ses Pitiüses. It’s a pretty 1 km path to the beach and then to Ses Figueretes. You can then continue on a beachfront boardwalk along C. Roman Ferrer/C. de la Punta, for a run of up to 4.5 km one-way.

Add-Ons: There are numerous piers and smaller marinas that make for nice additional jaunts.
