Located in the Mona neighborhood just west of Kingston, the Mona dam has been called the “Holy Grail” of running in Kingston. A hard dirt path of 2.6 km loops around this dark green reservoir, with views of Kingston city and the Blue Mountains as a backdrop. Most runners set out at sunrise to avoid the heat of the day. While parking is free, an annual pass (and a small processing fee) is required to jog here. See here for an application.
Add on: Ring Road and the University of the West Indies (UWI) campus, which has an oval track named after Usain Bolt.
