This is one the only loop trails around an airport that we know of! The BWI Trail is a paved path that loops around the perimeter of  Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI). The trail parallels Aviation Blvd./Dorsey Rd. Many sections are surprisingly peaceful despite the close proximity to airport runways. There are multiple sections to enjoy, most notably the young pine forest in Friendship Park (southern end of the trail) and Andover Park (north side of trail) where there’s an overlook of the runway.

Add-Ons: The southern end of the BWI trail connects to the Baltimore and Annapolis (B&A) Trail. which heads south for up to 13.5 miles toward Annapolis.

STAY: If you want easy access to the BWI trail, stay in the hotels in the ‘BWI Business District’ north of the airport and east of I-195.
