Lake Roland Park Trails

Google Street View

Drive or take the light rail to Lake Roland for some nice trail running!  This park, located on Lake Roland in the northwestern part of Baltimore, features several miles of trails around  meadows, wetlands, and mature hardwood forests. It’s a popular spot for easy trail running, walking, & mountain biking.

This trail map has good information on the trail options, park features, and segment distances. Our go-to run in Roland Park is to combine the Boardwalk from the light rail station to the main peninsula area, and then the Red Trail to Falls Rd. It’s 2.6 miles one-way. The Yellow and Pink trails are a bit more rugged.

Since the trails are mainly wooded, this is a great option on a hot day or to see the colors in autumn.

  • Several miles of trails; Our route combines Boardwalk & Red Trail, 2.6 miles (4.2 km) one-way
