This is an enjoyable, centrally located run in the popular resort town of Benalmádena with three distinct sections: a jaunt around the attractive marina, a section of seafront path, and the Parque De La Paloma. Start near downtown at the Sea Life Benalmádena aquarium, and do the 2 km out and back along Av. Juan Sebastian Elcano. Then, run around to the east end of the marina and RIGHT on Calle La Fragata. Pass the lighthouse, and then continue down the long pier — a popular walking spot! — to the tip (1.4 km out and back). The next section is west of the marina for 2 km along the waterfront path (Paseo Maritimo), turning RIGHT at the Los Mallinos sculpture on Av. Federico García to head into the Parque De La Paloma. A loop around the perimeter is a hilly ~1.2 km, with the option to add more on the numerous paths. Return to the start on the seafront path.
