The Stockdale Country Club neighborhood, located near CSU Bakersfield, is one of the most attractive neighborhoods in the city and is very pleasant for running. The streets in this area feature pristine sidewalks, pretty modern homes with manicured gardens, and shady tree cover. It’s a perfect spot to just explore the neighborhood on a DIY route. Stick to the areas between Stockdale Highway, Gosford Road, Ming Ave, and Ashe Road for the best results. Some of our favorite streets in the area are Camino Del Oeste/Calle Privada, Las Cruces Drive, Montalvo Drive, and Mount Lowe Drive. We’ve mapped a 5 mile loop as an example.
