Brasília, Brazil

The Parque da Cidade (City Park), one of the largest urban parks in the world, makes for a great place to run in Brasília. Part of Brasília’s master plan, the park features large open exhibition spaces, numerous recreation facilities, a lake, an amusement park, & more. For running, there three main paved trails, roughly 2, 4 and 6 miles long. There’s also 9.3 km loop path that runs alongside the main perimeter road, with good options to add on interior paths, fields, and open spaces. The terrain is mainly open rather than wooded, with rolling hills. Some of the more scenic sections are around the lake at the park’s northwestern end. There’s a running track just outside the park near the Praça das Fontes (#9 parking area).

Longer Run/Add-Ons: Can be combines with part of our adjacent Monumental Axis route.
