Chaguaramas Boardwalk / Western Main Road

Another choice running route in Trinidad is the Chaguaramas Boardwalk, which borders the St. Peters and Williams Bay waterfronts between La Retraite and Tembladora Park, northwest of Port of Spain. Runners can find the path alongside the Western Main Road. The surface varies between a separated asphalt path and a bouncy wooden boardwalk for nearly 6 km one-way. Hop on at any point, but the area near the Pier 1 ferry terminal and Williams Bay is the most scenic spot.

Add-Ons: A nice 1/2-mile path along Chagville Beach, accessed from W. Main Rd.

Essentials
  • Up to 6 km (3.6 miles) one-way
  • 20 meters
  • Any point. East End: Tembladora Park; West End: W. Main Rd. near the University
  • Western Main Road
