The go-to place for a quick run in the center of Acapulco is Parque Papagayo, located between Av Cuauhtémoc and Playa Papagayo. This bustling park features snack stands, a water park, and a pond among other amenities. There is no real course for running, nor is there a designated track, but runners can easily put in a couple of laps around the park. A lap around the central path is about 1 km. Combine it with a run on the beach or the Malecón de Acapulco (whose eastern end is near Parque Papagayo) for more distance.

The sand on Acapulco might not be perfect for running, but it is plentiful! It’s possible to run up to 3 km one way on the beaches of Acapulco Bay.
Run the waterfront of Acapulco’s Tradicional/Las Playas area. Follow Av. Costera Miguel Aleman and Paseo del Pecador for sidewalks and paths.
Another good option for laps in the Deportivo area. The International Center loop is 1.5 km from the Glorieta statue.
A nice long option near the airport, following a wide sidewalk along a moderately trafficked road. Starts near La Isla Shopping Village.
Another option near the Diamond Zone is the palm-lined Costera de Las Palmas/Vidafel Road. It’s a simple sidewalk, but there are some nice sections, especially bordering the Vidanta Golf Course.
Watch the cliff divers jump from the La Quebrada viewing platform after running this scenic 1 km oceanfront walkway. Connect to the Malecón de Acapulco route for more distance.
