The Indian Creek Trail is a paved multi-use trail that covers more than 22 miles in two states Overland Park and several other communities in the southern part of Kansas City. Run in two states, four communities, and a multitude of parks along Indian Creek.

One of the nicest sections is the first 4.5 miles from the eastern terminus, running though several parks along the narrow Indian Creek to Leawood City Park. At the east end, you can connect to the Trolley Trail.  At Leawood Park, there’s a connection to the Tomahawk Creek Trail, which runs south along its namesake creek for 3.1 miles. The southern 10 miles of the Indian Creek Trail trail follows Indian Creek to South Hampton.

NEW [2025]: A new 0.8-mile concrete path set to open in 2025, linking south Minor Park to Martha Truman Road. It adds key connectivity toward the Indian Creek Trail and across state lines to Kansas City, KS
