The Blue River Trail is one of a series of multi-use trails in the southern part of Kansas City/Overland Park area. Starting at Minor Park, the Blue River Parkway has 12+ miles of trails that wind along both banks of its namesake river.
Specifically, the paved, 3.1 mile Blue River Trail runs for 3.1 miles, from Minor Park north to the East Overland Park area. The trail follows the west side of the Blue River. At the north end, the Blue River Trail intersects with the Indian Creek Trail (just south of Bannister Rd. at Indian Creek) and the Trolley Trail.
Add-Ons: Some trail running just east of the Royals Amateur Development Complex. Also, at the north end, connections to the Indian Creek Trail and the Trolley Trail.
