Use Centennial Bridge or Arsenal Bridge to cross the river. Note: Arsenal Bridge is an 1,854-foot-long structure capable of swinging a full 360 degrees to accommodate traffic on the Mississippi River. Built in 1896, it is the fourth and final iteration of the first Mississippi River crossing ever completed. The bridge comprises two levels: an upper deck with two railway lines and a lower deck for automobiles, walkers and bicyclists.

A wonderful run on the north side of the Mississippi River, including historic Arsenal Bridge. Up to 11 miles on a paved multi-use trail between Davenport and Bettendorf. Great water views & options for loops with the Great River trail on the south side of the river.
A scenic, paved multi-use path along the south side of the Mississippi River. We've mapped the 12 miles from Rock Island to Hampton, though the trail continues east to Savanna. Great water views, parks, & options to combine w/ the north side path.
Credit Island Park, located in west Davenport, is a great place for a run on walking trails and the untrafficked main road. It's pleasantly green, with some nice water views. A loop is 3.7 miles. Can be combined with the Riverfront Trail for a longer run.
Paved multi-use path path travels for 12 miles between Emeis Park in west Davenport and Havens Acres Park in Riverdale, connecting several parks and residential neighborhoods. The closest access point to downtown Davenport is Junge Park, ~3 miles north.
A 4.7-mile dirt-surfaced multi-use path in the Rock Island/Milan area, following the Hennepin Canal and Rock River. Some nice water & lock views. Good option near the Quad Cities Airport.
Excellent spot for a destination run, 8 miles west of downtown. The 620-acre park features four lakes and an extensive series of trails. A loop of all the lakes would be ~5 miles. Combination of open & wooded terrain, with some water views.
