West Lake Park, located 8 miles west of downtown Davenport, is a worth-it spot for a destination run. The 620-acre park is the largest in the area. Its 4 lakes are popular for fishing and swimming, and there are numerous other recreation facilities.

For running, there’s an extensive series of easy trails and runnable roads. It’s possible to piece together a loop of all four lakes, which would make for a ~5 mile run. Overall, one could easily do a 5-7 mile non-overlapping route in the park. The terrain is a combination of open and wooded, with some water views. This TRAIL MAP has excellent information on the trails and segment distances.
