The signature run in Varna is the waterfront area, combining a path along Varna Beach, and the beautifully landscaped Primorski Park right above the beach. Run the promenade & park separately, or do the promenade out and the park path. Either way, it’s about 4 km each way. Note: Varna Beach is a wide, lovely beach with soft sand. It’s runnable near the water where the sand is firmer.

Waterfront Path & Road. The main road, Крайбрежна алея, runs along Varna Beach for 4 km from the Amusement Park/Swimming Pool in the south to Hidden Beach in the north. There are great views of the beach, Varna Bay, and the Black Sea. It’s a mix of dedicated waterfront path, cycle path, and sidewalk. Toward the northern end it’s just the road, but it’s safe for running.
Primorski Park. This waterfront park sits right above the beach. It’s Varna’s major green space, with wide promenade paths, landscaped gardens, a zoo, science museum, & other attractions. It’s wonderful for running. Create your own route on the numerous paths. Be sure to include the wide, 1 km promenade path between the Heritage Museum and the Pantheon/Rosarium. There are numerous roads & paths through the park to create your own route. Overall, it’s ~4 km north-south.
A great run would be the waterfront path one way the the park back. Overall, about 8 km.

This 100-acre botanical garden, also known as Ecopark Varna, is a lovely spot for running. There are paths throughout, featuring 300 species of exotic trees and shrubs, 100 species of grass plants, and 250 varieties of irises. Running is permitted!
It's a decent 5 km out and back run on the unnamed beachfront road in the resort town of Golden Sands, located 17 km north of Varna. Beach & water views much of the way, and a festive scene.
Trail runners will love Golden Sands Nature Park (Zlatni Pyasatsi), which is located in the hills above Golden Sands. There are four color-coded, mainly wooded 'tourist trails' that are good for trail running of moderate difficulty. The cycleway is an easier option.
Wonderful running options along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast south of Varna, including routes in Nessebar, Pomorie, and Burgas. Waterfront promenades, beach runs, and 'runseeing' tours of historic old towns.
