Just west of the extensive Lungomare Europa waterfront path in Varazze, there’s another waterfront stretch between Celle Ligure and Garbasso that makes for a scenic run. Pick up the Passaggietta Mare waterfront path just east of the beach in Celle Ligure, and run along the promenade for 1.8 km to the end, paralleling the SS1. From there, you can continue for another nearly 2 km along the SS1 to Garbasso. There’s a good sidewalk along the road, and the up & down is rewarded with some splendid views.
