One can do a pleasant run around the port of Savona and along the water, on a combination waterfront promenade, cycle path, and roadside sidewalk. There are water views along some sections — in others you’re a bit away from the water and there are buildings blocking the view.
We recommend starting with a loop around the port, and then briefly along the SS1, passing the fort. Continue south along the waterfront paths (Passeggiata Walter Tobagi/Corso Vittorio Veneto) for 2.3 km. Then, you’re on the SS1 for 1 km, which continues as a dedicated path (Lungomare) at Zinola Beach for 2.2 km to Vado Ligure.
