There’s some nice waterfront running between Loano and Ceriale. It’s up to 8 km one-way, mostly on a dedicated waterfront path. One fun option: run one way and take the train back!
At the north end, start at the Loano Marina, on the Molo Francheville out to a pier. Then, head south on the waterfront paths (Lungomare Marconi/Lungomare Walter Tobagi) alongside a series of small beaches, paralleling the Corso Roma/train tracks, There are great views of the Ligurian Sea, and a festive feel. Borghetto San Spirito is at the 5.3 km mark, where you’ll pass the heart-shaped Panchina dell’Amore #BORGHETTO sculpture. A separated path continues, following the SS1 road, ending at the Golden Beach in Ceriale.
Add-Ons: In Borghetto, there are hiking paths in the hills above, making for some scenic & hilly trail running.
