Take a 25-minute train ride from Gdańsk to access this scenic 7.7 km run in Gdynia, featuring the marina, waterfront promenade, and a couple of parks. Gdynia is a port city of 250,000, located on the Baltic coast 20 km north of Gdańsk.
Google Street View
The first 2 km is around the marina and out Kościuszko Square, a wide waterfront pier featuring tenements, murals, shops & restaurants. Then, head south on the concrete waterfront promenade, which is a paved, dedicated multi-use path along the Gulf of Gdańsk. There are separate paths for pedestrians and cyclists, and open views of the water (bonus: lit at night!). It’s 2.3 km to the end of the promenade path (Optional add-on: hilly paths in the Polanka Redłowska).
Retrace your steps. Just past the naval museum, take the small road inland to take a jaunt through two pleasant parks: Maria and Lech Kaczyński Park, which features paths and a nice lookout; and just north of there, European Council Park. Note this last section is hilly.
Note: Parkrun, Saturdays, 9am. Meet at parking lot toward the southern end of the promenade (see overview map).
