Also in Limhamn, there’s a wonderful run through parks along the Øresund Strait, with fantastic views of the Øresund Bridge. The route is on trails and paths through Strandparken, then passing under the bridge. It’s ~5 km one-way, and can be combined with our Limhamn route to the north which explores the marina area. Note: No pedestrians permitted on the Øresund Bridge.
Start in Strandparken in the marina area of Limhamn. Run south through the park on mainly paved paths, and then along the water in Badhusparken. There are wonderful views of the water and the Øresund Bridge. There are viewpoints, outdoor sculptures, and the Luftkastellet conference center. Cross under the bridge and continue to the end, on paths through a nature preserve.
The bridge is a combined railway and motorway, connecting Malmö and Copenhagen. Completed in 2000, is the second-longest bridge in Europe, at 16 km. For the return, we’ve varied the route by exploring some of the interior paths through the parks. You can create youe own adventure here!
Add-Ons/Longer Run: Continue north with our Limhamn route, exploring the waterfront and marina area.
