Sohngårdsholmpark: Lawns, Manor House & Apple Trees

Courtesy: https://[email protected]

Sohngårdsholmpark is a pleasant place for a run in the Vejgård area in southern Aalborg. Paths & lawns surround an 1800s manor house in a park famed for its many varieties of apple tree. It’s lovely running on 5-6 km of wide, gravel trails. The terrain is generally green and open. A perimeter loop is ~3.5 km. Some of park is reserved for a six-hole golf course, Golfparken.

Be sure to run on Planetstien (the Planet Road), which starts next to the Observatory. With planets on granite pillars, you will see the distance between and sizes of the well-known planets in the solar system. In the southern part of the park, you will find work-out pavilions.
