There are numerous waterfront running options in the Manama area, incorporating Bahrain Bay/The Avenues, Reef Island, and the Al Seef District. Can be done in sections, as as combined run, or a longer run incorporating our Marina Beach Garden Park/AlGhous Park route. Our route map is an overview of the overall running possibilities in the area.

Causeways Loop. A quick & easy 5k is to run the two causeways: Shaikh Hamad Causeway (near Bahrain National Museum) and Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Causeway/Bridge. There are decent pedestrian pathways over both, and nice water views. Can continue further south to our Marina Beach Park run.

Bahrain Bay: 2-3 km around waterfront roads and paths, including The Avenues Park and grounds around the Four Seasons Hotel. Continue west through Bahrain Financial Harbour and the King Faisal Corniche for ~ 2 km to Reef Island.

Reef Island & Al Seef. Sections of Reef Island are still developing, but  3-4 km are possible, looping around the roads and paths. Then use Highway 68/Road 2849 for ~1 km to get over to the Al Seef District, where there are some nice roads/paths around the Jumeirah Royal Saray hotel and the Ritz Carlton, and even further to Karbabad Beach and the Bahrain Fort.

Causeways Loop. A quick & easy 5k is to run the two causeways: Shaikh Hamad Causeway (near Bahrain National Museum) and Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Causeway/Bridge. There are decent pedestrian pathways over both, and nice water views.
