Boston - South Shore

Myles Standish State Forest

The 15,000-acre Myles Standish State Forest offers one of the best off-road running opportunities south of Boston. With 15 miles of paved bicycle trails, 13 miles of horse trails, and 21 miles of hiking trails, there are great options for both road and trail running. The trails mainly wind though woods of pitch pine and oak. The forest surrounds 16 ponds, some of them unique coastal kettle ponds, so there are great opportunities to take a post-run dip!

Rather than design a specific route, we suggest you create your own run in this large park. Use the attached brochure and trail map.
