This 5k loop is a great run in Brooklyn, showcasing views of the East River, Manhattan skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and the Brooklyn Bridge! There’s a section along the Brooklyn waterfront between Pier 6 and the Dumbo, and then along the Brooklyn Heights Promenade.
Begin heading towards the Hudson and run along the piers until you reach Brooklyn Bridge Park. Pass under the bridge and use New Dock St. to rejoin the waterfront park. Pass Jane’s Carousel and loop back towards the start. Take Everit St. and be prepared to tackle what the locals call Jehovah’s Hill. The trip is definitely worth it — at the top of the hill you will reach Brooklyn Heights Promenade. Made famous by cameo appearances in movies like Annie Hall and Moonstruck, it is one of the most romantic spots in New York City and offers breathtaking vistas. Finish with one more steep hill to loop back to the start. Note: there is continued work along the river paths of Brooklyn.
Add-Ons: East River Greenway on the Manhattan side, and our Two Bridges Loop between the Brooklyn & Manhattan bridges.
