Corton Hill

The wine village of Pernand-Vergelesses is dotted with classic French architecture, vineyards, and carefully crafted monuments, all of which can be explored on this ~6 km loop around Corton Hill. This somewhat hilly route, suggested by the folks at Beaune Tourism, starts out near the Eglise Saint Germain, a landmark church in the center of the village. It then heads west on Rue du Creux Saint Germain and south on Rue Louis Pavelot to a patch of farmland at the edge of the village. Skirting around these vineyards, the route eventually meets Aloxe-Corton which loops around the edge of the hill, crosses Rue de Bully, and bends south to Oratoire de Notre Dame de Bonne Espérance. The route loops up to the Oratoire for great views, then returns south along the walls of Rue de Fretille to the start.
