Features:
For an easy-to-follow, scenic route along the waterfront in Charleston, this route is a great bet. Start at Pineapple Fountain at Ravenel Waterfront Park, and then follow waterfront roads and paths passing The Battery, White Point Gardens (park), and then a nice path paralleling Murray Blvd., with water views on one side and gorgeous homes on the other. We add a 1/2-mile loop around Colonial Lake. Retrace your steps along the water, or use one of the interior streets in the historic district (we recommend Queen or Tradd) for a shortcut back.
Add-Ons: Can continue along the water for 1 mile to Brittlebank Park, but there’s an unpleasant section around the highway. Can also add with interior historic district streets.
Essentials
- 4.3 miles
- Fairly flat
- Pineapple Fountain, Waterfront Park (or other point on water)
