The Mae-Hia Agricultural Training and Research Center, owned by Chiang Mai University, is a popular spot for walkers and joggers. The center is located 9 km west of central Chiang Mai and has several car-free paths that are open to the public. There are paths along some pleasant green fields/farm areas, and along a couple of small ponds that serve as irrigation areas. There is no set route, but runners can put together a loop of ~5 km.
