Popular with mountain bikers, but otherwise a well kept secret, the Oso Creek Trail is a network of dirt pathways and multi-use trails at the south end of Corpus Christi. Runners can either explore the dirt paths around the creek or head north on the concrete lands towards Bill Witt City Park. We’ve mapped a 4.5 mile loop utilizing most of the available trails.

Add-On: Runners looking for something longer can continue west on the Oso Parkway, a lovely residential neighborhood reaching to the South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center. There’s a good sidewalk/path along the road, passing some of the area’s poshest homes.

Essentials
  • 4.5 miles (7 km) loop
  • 29 feet
  • Oso Creek Trailhead
  • Route 26 Bus/Airline Lipes
