A popular residential suburb to the northwest of Houston, the top runs in Cypress include the Little Cypress Creek Preserve and a handful of pleasant neighborhoods. There are trails through the 58-acre property with a series of 10 man-made shallow ponds.

Little Cypress Creek Preserve: Dirt doubletrack and shady woods make up the laid-back running options at Little Cypress Creek Preserve.

Coles Crossing: The Coles Crossing neighborhood is the epitome of suburban charm, with a 4.5 mile off-road circuit of paths circling the residents-only parks, tennis courts, and pools.

Fairfield Twin Ponds: Fairfield’s lakes and residential streets offer plenty of great running, but the 2.5 mile loop around the “twin ponds” is particularly pleasant.
