Houston, TX - Suburbs

Humble/Spring/The Woodlands

Houston’s northernmost suburbs include running routes through gorgeous planned communities, verdant botanical gardens, and some lengthy multi-use paths.

The Woodlands: The Woodlands Running Club has a great collection of routes here.

Mercer Arboretum: The Mercer Arboretum is a 400 acre park in Humble with numerous plantings and pathways. A loop around the arboretum and botanical gardens is about 3 miles, but there are many more paths across the river in the Schultz Gully/Cypress Creek Park at Timberlane area.

Spring Creek Greenway: One of the best long distance multi-use paths in the Spring area is the namesake Spring Creek Greenway, a paved, nearly 13-mile span between 1-69 and Dennis Johnston Preserve. The best loop options are around the Spring Trails Preserve and Pundt Park. ROUTE MAP.

Kingwood Greenbelt Trails: In the far northeast reaches of the Houston suburbs, the Kingbelt Greenway system offers more than 75 miles of trail through parks, forests, and residential streets. The area surrounding East End Park is particularly gorgeous. INFO AND LINK TO PRINTABLE TRAIL MAP
