Western Odense Multi-Park Route: Åløkke/Snapind Skov, Bolbro Parken

Åløkke Skov. Google Street View

This is an enjoyable route exploring several small parks in the western part of central Odense. We’ve mapped a connecting route through the parks, with an option to complete a loop using mainly off-road paths.

A good central starting point is Odense Port. Use the Jægerhusstien path to run through Havneskoven Park, which connects to the twin parks of Åløkke Skov & Snapind Skov. There are mainly wooded paths through these parks. Exit the southern end of Snapind Skov and use the path for 0.7 km to connect to Odense Atletikstadion, which has a great running track. Do a couple of laps, enjoy the paths of the adjacent Bolbro Parken. To complete the loop, two options: run back through the parks, or use our mapped route along a bike path that runs east of the Atletikstadion, just north of the train tracks. A bit of an industrial feel.

Add-Ons: There are additional paths that are nice for running just north of Snapind Skov park in Naesby. From Odense Port, connect to our scenic route that heads north along the water toward Odense Fjord.

Essentials
  • 7.5 km (4.6 miles) loop
  • 27m (89 feet)
  • Odense Port/Havneskoven Park, or other preferred park
  • Good transport access
