Potsdam has numerous parks and wonderful green spaces for running. This 10k route, sort of a companion to Park Sanssouci, is a lovely run around Potsdam’s central parks, including a loop of Freundschaftsinsel (Friendship Island) and Neuer Garten (New Garden). Overall, it’s ~10 km, with good options for longer and shorter.
Start right in central Potsdam with a ~2 km loop of Freundschaftsinsel. It’s a peaceful, green space with some nice views of the Havel River. Then, head north through the center of Potsdam and continue to into Neuer Garten Park. It’s about 2 km. New Garden is a lovely lakeside garden park with lush meadows, Gothic structures & Marble Palace. A full loop of the park is ~4 km, with numerous additional paths for runners who want more. Retrace your steps back to Potsdam. You’ll run by Cecilienhof Palace, Grünes Haus, and other landmarks.
Add-Ons: From Freundschaftsinsel, can cross the small bridge over to Nuthe-Park, which has some nice paths. There’s also the 1 km Adolf Miethe Ufer riverfront path, which is right in central Potsdam. It’s a paved path with nice river views.

In the upscale Berlin borough of Steglitz-Zehlendorf, there's nice running in Westlicher Düppeler Forst (Forest) and on the car-free Pfaueninsel (Peacock Island), accessed via a short ferry. You will see peacocks!
