This is a green, hilly park run that features some terrific views of the Vlatava River and the historic section of Prague. Vítkov is a historic hill & park with the monumental National Memorial complex at its summit. It’s located just to the east of Old Town. There are wide, grand paths in the park. The best way to experience Vítkov is to start at the eastern end and run along Pražačka, which is the main path. It’s 1.3 km to the Memorial, which features great city views.

For a longer run, combine with Sady Park (Riegrovy sady) just to the south. Run through the roads near the Viktoria Žižkov Stadium complex for ~1 km. It’s another popular green space, also with good city views from the observation deck. A loop of the park is ~1 km.

Essentials
  • 7 km (4.4 km), combining the two parks
  • 270 feet (82m)
  • Vítkov Hill. To approach it from the Pražačka path, start at the Ohrada tram stop
  • Tram: Ohrada. Or, other access points to Vítkov
