Providence, RI

Warwick: Warwick City Park

CC 1.0: ZeLonewolf

Warwick is a city of 82,000 located just 10 miles south of Providence. One of our favorite places to run in Warwick is Warwick City Park, which sits on a spit of land adjacent to Brush Neck Cove and Buttonwoods Cove. There’s a 2.8 mile paved perimeter path, which is mainly wooded but affords some nice views of the water as well. Runners can add on with some of the park roads and fields. There’s a popular beach in summer.

Longer run:  We recommend Buttonwoods Ave., which is a quiet, tree-lined street that extends down to Buttonwoods Cove. From the park, take Asylum Rd. (!!) for 0.3 miles to Buttonwoods Ave. and turn LEFT, headed south.

Essentials
  • Park loop path: 2.8 miles (4.5 km). Add on with Buttonwoods Rd.
  • Flat
  • Warwick City Park
  • Located ~10 miles south of Providence. There's parking
