Castalia Quarry MetroPark, located a few miles southwest of Sandusky, is a nice spot for an easy trail run. This old quarry is now a 152-acre park, offering a panoramic view of Sandusky Bay and the Lake Erie Islands from an observation deck. There are ~5 miles of trails, generally with good footing. We recommend combining the 1.8 mile Quarry Rim Trail (which has the observation deck) with the 1.1 mile Levee Loop.
