Telluride, CO

Downtown and Neighborhood Tour

Telluride is a town with more ski trails than streets, but that doesn’t mean road runners have to miss out on the fun. Downtown Telluride is a great place to explore on foot. There are nice sidewalks, pretty homes, and great views of the mountains. Feel free to explore on your own — downtown is compact, so it’s hard to get lost. Colorado Ave is the “main drag,” with lots of shops, restaurants, classic ski-lodge style houses.

If you prefer a little more direction, we’ve mapped a 3.8 mile (6 km) route starting from East Colorado Ave near Telluride Town Park. The route showcases some of the best residential and commercial streets, including Colorado Ave, East Pandora Ave, Galena Ave, Oak Street, West Columbia Ave, and Pacific Ave. It also explores some of the San Miguel River Trail, and takes a loop through the lovely town park. Other sites include the base of the ski lifts and the Telluride Historical Museum.
