Known locally as the ‘River Trail’, the San Miguel River Trail is an easy trail run along San Miguel River for the length of town, sandwiched by the Idarado Legacy Trail to the end and the Valley Floor Trail to the west. Runners can access the trail anywhere along the river, but the closest point to downtown is near the gondola. The San Miguel River Trail is wide, smooth, and obstacle-free. It reaches as far east as the Idarado Mill and as far west as Mahoney Drive, where it meets the Valley Floor Trail. It’s a total of 2.4 miles one way, but there are lots of exciting options for more mileage. Continue on the Valley Floor Trail/Bike Path to complete the Valley Floor Loop, or add on a tour of Downtown.
