This manmade lake in the southeast of Topeka is the local favorite running route. A beautiful concrete pathway encircles the lake for a ~7 mile loop. Runners can hop on at any entrance along SE Edge Road, SW Edge Road, SE 29th Street, or SE Croco Road. The east end is home to an event center, beach, disc golf course, golf course, and a campground. On the west end, you’ll find the lovely Ted Ensley Gardens and the Shawnee Yacht Club. Run the whole loop, or grab onto any section for an out and back.
