The Soldier Creek Trail is the lone running option in North Topeka East, on the other side of the Kansas River. The route is a 2 mile concrete pathway along the eponymous waterway. It starts from NW Lyman Road in the north and runs south to a terminus near NE Soldier Street, just past Garfield Park. The route has a suburban feel with a few road crossings, but it makes for a pleasant enough 4 mile out and back.
