This is a flat route along a quiet way-marked bike path in the countryside. Run by cattle fields and admire beautiful views of the forest either side of the valley. Our route starts at Walferdange train station, which is only 10 min train journey from Luxembourg central train station. From Walferdange Station, it’s 1 km to the bike path, using Rue de la Gare south towards the Prince Henri Stadium and then RIGHT on Rt. 125 by the Église de Walferdange.
The bike path starts off by following the Alzette River north. Once on the footpath you just have to follow the “CP 15” signposts. Our route is an 11km out-and-back circuit between Walferdange and Helmdange. It’s quite pastoral. Follow the path for 5.5 km (or less), turning around at Rue de l’Alzette (next to a furniture store). Return to the train station. Or, go longer and hop the train back to Luxembourg!

Longer Run: Continue north on the PC 15 bike path. You could go all the way to the city of Ettelbrück, which  is 30km from Walferdange. In Ettelbrück there is the option to getting a train back to the start point in Walferdange or all the way back to Luxembourg city (Line 10).
