Atlantic & Yadkin Greenway

Google Street View

The Atlantic & Yadkin Greenway is one of our favorite places in the Greensboro area for a run. The nearly 6-mile paved multi-use path follows a former rail bed in Lake Brandt, with several bridges and boardwalks passing over the lake, featuring some great views. The northern end is at SR 220, and passes through Bur-Mil Park, Lake Brandt, Military Park, and Greensboro Country Park.

Do any section of this 6-mile trail, or combine with the trails in 250-acre Bur-Mil Park (more for trail running), Military Park, and Greensboro Country Park, where we’ve also designed routes.

Essentials
  • 5.9 miles one-way. Connects to many other trails in the area
  • 309 feet (94m) one-way, north to south
  • North End: SR 220; South End: Greensboro Country Park
  • Numerous access points
