This is a nice opportunity to create your own route around the campus of Providence College and the adjacent Oakland Ave. Historic District neighborhood. Providence College is a private college in North Providence and features numerous pedestrian paths. Enjoy a couple of miles north of Eaton Ave., and between River Ave. & Douglas Ave. There’s a running track adjacent to River Ave.
Then, add some of the pleasant residential streets of the Oakland Ave. Historic District. It’s in the Smith Hill neighborhood, between Smith St. and Providence College. Can do a couple of miles here.
Add-On: Combine with sections of our Pleasant Valley route, which is just south of Smith St.
