John Bryan State Park, located 20 miles northeast of Dayton, is a great spot for some trail running. The park is known for its limestone gorge, which was cut by the Little Miami State and National Scenic River. There are several miles of trails in the park, mainly following west to east the Little Miami River for~3.5 miles. The terrain is mainly wooded. Some of the trails are designed as ‘hiking’ and make for an easy-to-moderate trail run. There’s also a multi-use path in the park, and some quiet roads that can be used for running. TRAIL MAP
This park can be especially pretty during foliage season.
