Wildwood Preserve Metropark is one of the nicest parks for running in Toledo. One can put together a several mile run of nice variety here, from a paved multi-use trail to more wooded trails and then extend with the longer-distance University/Parks trail.

Wildwood Preserve is located 10 miles west of downtown and features a historic manor house, gardens, a nature observatory, and several miles of trails. The ‘Brown Trail’ is a paved 1.6 mile multi-use path. There are 2-3 miles of wooded trails at the northwestern end of the park is. This trail map has excellent information on loop options & distances.  Overall, 8 miles of dirt trails and 3 miles of paved roads.

Add-On/Option. At the southern end, connect to the University/Parks trail. It’s a 7-mile paved multi-use path, heading east for 3.8 miles to Toledo University, or west toward Silica.
