The University/Parks Trail is the best option for a longer distance run in Toledo. The trail runs for 7 miles between the University of Toledo campus and Silica Rd. in Silica. The paved, level path is a lovely run in its own right, passing savannas, meadows and wetlands.
The east end is at the University of Toledo, and a nice add-on to our route there that includes Ottawa Park. At the 3.8 mile park, there’s a connector to Wildwood Preserve Metropark (3.8 mile mark). The west end is at Silica Rd. in Silica.
